Noble Gas Kingdom

The Noble Gas Kingdom, also known as the Noble Gas Provinces, are a group of seven star systems each ruled by a noble family.

2 Helios

Spectral Type: G
Mass: 1.2 solar masses

The 2 Helios system is located just on the edge of Noble Gas territory. The system’s main habitable world is a small agrarian moon of a gas giant on the inner edge of the system’s habitable zone. The gas giant glows a dull magenta color, believed to be caused by its proximity to the sun.

The moon is well-known for its rural, pastoral countryside and sub-tropical rainforests. While it would be considered warmer than average, it is perfectly suited for the native alien flora and fauna.

According to legend, the ancient Droplet people discovered a powerful two-headed dragon living in a volcano. This creature had the ability to control the weather with its breath. It is thought to be the inspiration of the original weather machine.

18 Aragonia

Spectral Type: K, M

Mass: 0.95, 0.32 solar masses

Aragonia is a dual star system. Aragonia a is the gravitational center while Aragonia b orbits it at the far edge with its own set of planets. Aragonia ad is a large planet with several smaller habitable moons. It is known as a puffy planet which has a density comparable to that of cotton candy. The planet’s upper atmosphere contains small floating islands where a number of transient luminous events occur.

Duchess Cara Bonnie from the Tetrel Kingdom is currently on a diplomatic visit here. She was temporarily given a castle in Argon Town to accommodate her stay. However, her unpredictable temperament has made her a rather difficult guest.

10 Neo

Spectral Type: F, F
Mass: 1.1, 0.9 solar masses

Neo is a binary star system. It was once inhabited by an ancient civilization that has long since vanished. The primary landing point, Neon Badlands, is well-known for its neon blue lava flows which are actually seas of molten sulfur. Though extremely hostile to most life, this planet is host to a variety of crystalline silicon-based life forms. This contrasts a nearby moon covered in expansive deserts and vibrant jungles home to a peaceful tribe of Tree Frogs.

Neo is also home to a being which calls itself Sobek and claims to be a god. The nature of its divinity is questionable, but its power and influence over the system are not.

54 Xenia

Spectral Type: G
Mass: 1.1 solar masses

Xenia is known for its main habitable world, Xenia c. As an oceanic planet, it is similar to Eich-Tuo how it was tens of millions of years ago. Most of the landmasses consist of tropical islands and expansive mud flats. The oceans are warmed by deep undersea volcanoes along the continental fault lines. The planet’s ring system was formed when an asteroid collided with one of its moons.

Some of the fauna of this region do not appear to be native to the planet, but are instead artificial genetic constructs of extinct life forms from another unknown world. It is theorized that in the distant past, Xenia c was perhaps intended to be a zoo planet by an ancient civilization. That and its wealth of natural resources make the world a prime target for space pirates.

The notorious Captain Salty Peter of the Kino system has scoured the planet looking for treasure, raiding both the sky and sea with his personal armada.

86 Radonia

Spectral Type: A, G, G
Mass: 1.5, 0.94, 0.92 solar masses

Radonia is the capital system of the Noble Gas Kingdom. It is a unique trinary system with one blue giant and two yellow main sequence stars. How life evolved in this system in the first place is not known, as science currently theorizes that A type stars do not have a long enough life span for organic compounds to emerge naturally.

The system’s primary planet is an extensive metropolis completely covering the surface. The nearby desert moon Radiomuna, once covered in vibrant jungles, saw extensive industrialization at the hands of Fossil Corp.

Radiomuna, despite the near collapse of its ecosystem, still hosts some habitable areas. Most of the planet’s water can be found in its ice caps. And near the north pole is a single large ocean just over 500,000 square kilometers in area.

36 Kryptos

Spectral Type: M
Mass: 0.35 solar masses

Kryptos has a single red dwarf star at its center. Planets in this system orbit very close to each other, and Kryptos d in particular is tidally locked, meaning it never experiences a day/night cycle.

Kryptos is the personal home of Lord Krypton. It is where he began his business ventures into Fossil Corp. Despite its origins here, Fossil Corp instead saw more activity in the Radonia system due to its closer proximity to the capital. However, with Lord Krypton’s ambitious plans to ascend to power, he seeks to move the capital to his own system. As such, he oversaw the construction of the city of Neo Kryptopolis on the planet’s night side.

Some ancient ruins were recently uncovered from a glacier around the planet’s north pole just on the border of the twilight region. It is thought that it was an ancient colony of the same lost civilization of the Neo system.

118 Oganessia

Spectral Type: K
Mass: 3.0 solar masses

Oganessia is a system located just on the edge of Noble Gas territory, directly opposite to Helios. Though there are no known habitable planets, the system is rich in mineral deposits on its asteroids. While it was highly popular for its resources, an unexpected solar flare one hundred years ago caused numerous reactor malfunctions which forced the local workers to abandon the system.

This incident combined with the system’s remote location makes it the ideal place to conduct scientific research outside the bounds of the law. With Lord Krypton’s funding, Dr. Ruby Dium repurposed the old laboratories to conduct her weather machine experiments, bringing back the first activity in the system in over a century.
