Gorgovsian

Gorgovisans are the original species that the infamous Gopher is based on. Hailing from the planet Gorgovsia, they were once a proud warrior species that was eventually subjugated by the witch Queen Ashley.

Unlike the Gophers, Gorgovsians are just as intelligent as any other sapient. They are highly cunning with clever strategic thinking making up for their lack of physical strength.

Gorgovsians are thought to be on the verge of extinction. The Gorgovsian Orgog is thought to be one of the few remaining ones although he has sworn his loyalty to Queen Ashely, most likely out of survival.

Appearance

Gorgovsians are very similar to their Gopher counterparts in terms of general body shape. They are one foot tall with large heads relative to their bodies. They have brown fur and a small rabbit-like brown tail.

Biology

Gorgovsians, compared to the Gophers, have far more muscle mass and far less body fat. Unlike their Gopher counterparts, their blood is a normal red.

Gorgovsians, unlike the Gophers, reproduce sexually. After mating, the female must continue ingesting enough nutrients until their tail falls off and turns into an egg. This egg eventually hatches into another Gorgovsian which they raise communally.

Gorgovsians are omnivores although they have a preference towards meat. When hunting, they use their diminuitive appearance to their advantage. This allows them to easily outrun and outmaneuver large predators and prey.

Lifespan

The oldest Gorgovsians have lived up to forty years. In practice, many of them die much earlier in battle.

Relations

• Gopher – Aside from those who have pledged loyalty to Queen Ashley, the Gorgovsians are utterly horrified by the Gophers. To the Gorgovisans, Gophers are little more than reanimated corpses.

• Orgog – A wizard who betrayed his own kind to join Queen Ashley.
