Droplet: States of Matter – The Final Devlog

Hey guys, Krayfishkarl here and welcome to a special announcement. Version 1.0 of Droplet: States of Matter is now available. This update brings the game out of early access and into its full release. Additionally, the official soundtrack has been made available for separate purchase on Steam. There are seventy six songs spread across nearly three hours of music.

After seven years, the game is finally finished. I achieved one of my biggest life goals: to make my very own commerically released video game. My younger self would be proud, not just from having made the game, but also from having made something that he would have really enjoyed while growing up. So…now what?

Well, immediately following, I’ll be monitoring social media for feedback. If possible, I may address some of it in the form of smaller patches. In the meantime, one of the best ways you can support the game is to leave a review on Steam of your experience. The more reviews that the game gets, the better it does in the algorithm. Additionally, I always welcome any videos or streams about the game. Be sure to spread the word to anyone who you might think will enjoy colorful, cartoony 3D platformers.

And naturally, I’ve already begun planning several different game ideas for my next commercial release although I have yet to decide on which one will go into production. After all, how on earth do I top my childhood dream game? I’ll have to figure out an answer for that one later. But for now, I’ll be working on some smaller one-off projects. Plus, I would like to further flesh out the Krayfish Entertainment website. Not only do I plan to expand on the various worldbuilding and stories there but also to port more of my older, unreleased Clickteam Fusion games to HTML5.

That being said, this will be the final devlog for the game and the closing of a chapter of my life. It’s been quite the ride. So for one last time, I will be saying this to all of you: Thank you for the following the development of Droplet: States of Matter.
